Our History

It is in 1975 that Montreal businessman Jules Tremblay opened a car mechanics workshop at 4830, boulevard St-Charles, Pierrefonds in Montreal West Island.

Sixteen years later, in February 1994, Denis Cordeiro made his entry into the business group of Mr. Tremblay, who then operated four Mr. Muffler workshops. Then aged 22, Denis was named director of the Duvernay franchise (Montreal, QC). It was at this moment that a close relationship got established between the two men, a relationship that would allow Denis to demonstrate its know-how while being ably guided by Mr. Tremblay.

In 1995, following the good results obtained at his Duvernay workshop, Denis Cordeiro was promoted as director of Mr. Muffler’s franchise located in Montreal’s East End, a heavily patronized workshop. Two years later, in 1997, he became general manager and shareholder of a group that operated four auto mechanics workshops and that would later acquire a fifth one.

In 1998, Denis was elected Chairman of the franchise committee that represented all Mr. Muffler’s franchisees in the face of the franchisor.

In January 2003, Denis Cordeiro became sole owner of the shop located at 4830, Boulevard St-Charles. He registered his business under the name of Autotech Performance and continued to operate it under the banner of Mr. Muffler.

In 2008, having acquired 18 years of experience in the auto mechanics business, Denis Cordeiro decided to dissociate himself from Mr. Muffler and to operate under the name of Autotech Performance as Montreal West Island’s car repairs and preventive maintenance specialist.

In 2009, Pierre Brunet, a well known and experienced master mechanic in Montreal West Island, joined Autotech Performance as co-owner and expert mechanic.

Thanks to a team of dynamic and skilled mechanics, Autotech Performance has built a loyal clientele that keeps growing from year to year. Denis, Pierre and their team continue to work together and put their expertise at the service of Montreal West Island’s automobilists.

Denis Cordeiro pursues this adventure as he started it: he maintains a close relationship with Jules Tremblay, his friend and adviser of the first hour, and he keeps working hard to further develop Autotech Performance and ensure its prosperity.
